Jared, Erin, Cooper & Julia!

I love being referred to people because it lets me meet people that I may not have otherwise ever met!  That was the case with this beautiful family!!

A friend of my sister's messaged me and asked if she could give my name to a friend of hers.  She said they were wanting to have some first birthday pictures done for their daughter and they were looking for someone to take them!  Of course, I said yes!

Erin and I messaged back and forth quite a bit before we had planned to meet working out a date, location, etc.  In our texting we talked about what she had in mind for the pictures.  She texted a list of ideas that she had for the pictures!  I love different ideas, especially ideas that can possibly result in unique, original photos!  I'm a Pinterest fan, so I pull a lot of ideas from there, but I always keep in the back of my mind that there are a lot of Pinterest fans and I don't want the pictures I take to be just like everyone elses'!   So, I try to come up with a mixture so that everyone's photos are unique!

The day we were to meet I texted Erin and asked if I needed to pick anything up and she said that she had everything!  I was thrilled when we met up to see the things she had brought to use!

When I left the shoot I was a bit worried about whether or not I had gotten enough good pictures.  The main "subject" of our photos was one year old Julia!  My first, official photo shoot for a one-year old that was mobile and she kept me hopping at times!  We also took pictures of her brother, Cooper, and Mom and Dad too!  Here are a few of my favorites and you can find more by visiting the Jared, Erin, Cooper & Julia album on my Capturing Your Precious Moments Photography Facebook Page!

LEXIE & MIKE!

My oldest niece, Lexie, and her boyfriend, Mike, were about to celebrate their first anniversary of dating late last year and she asked me if I would be willing to take some pictures for them!  Having not been able to get much practice with the new camera yet, of course I jumped on the opportunity!!  That in addition to the fact that Lexie is a beautiful young lady and any opportunity to take pictures of her pretty face is a good one!!  Mike isn't too bad looking himself (smile) and the two of them together, they are quite a nice looking couple!

I was thrilled and nervous all at the same time the day we were to get together for our photo shoot!  I picked Lexie up that morning from a friend's house and took her home to get ready for pictures, the original plan was that we were going to pick Mike up too but those plans changed so it was just me and Lexie headed to her house for her to get ready.  When we got to her house it was a bunch of outfit coordinating by phone and text and the end result was amazing, I would never have guessed it given the means of lining everything out!  But they nailed it and they coordinated perfectly!

Once Lexie was ready we went and picked up Mike and headed to my yard to take a few pictures there then we were headed to Burdette Park!  It was late summer, early fall and everything still looked great for pictures!  I'm not sure that Lexie and Mike knew what was in store for them since this was my first "official" photo shoot, we took about a million pictures that day!!

I have a lot of favorites from this batch of pictures but I will pick just a few to share here on the blog!!  For more pictures of Lexie and Mike visit Lexie & Mike's album on my Capturing Your Precious Moments Photography Facebook page!
